‘Wild Encounters’ with reptiles highlight Nocatee Farmer’s Market

Posted

Nocatee residents had an opportunity to get up close and personal with some scaly, slithering reptiles Saturday, when visitors from Gatorland stopped by the monthly farmer’s market.

A variety of interactive wildlife education programs and demonstrations had snakes, lizards and other reptiles crawling all over guests at the market, which also featured dozens of vendors offering fresh produce, herbs, spices, unique foods, crafts, jewelry and more. Bounce houses, face painting and other kids’ activities were also available.
