Nine Republican candidates seeking election to U.S. Congress in Districts 4 and 6 had an opportunity to share their positions with the voters July 11, when the Republican Club of Greater St. Augustine hosted a candidate’s forum at the group’s monthly meeting.
Moderated by WFOY radio host Kerry McCarthy, the event attracted all seven Republican candidates running to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw in District 4 and two of the three District 6 Republican contenders. U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, who is seeking re-election, was in Washington DC, but sent a statement to be shared with the standing-room-only crowd of more than 100 local residents.
