An Operation Kidsafe free child safety event has been scheduled for the Jacksonville area.
Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. all families are welcome to the free and private event taking place at Camping World of Jacksonville, located on 10101 Interstate Center Drive. Parents will take home a document created during the event, which will be the only record of the visit.
Operation Kidsafe is a program that enables families to create files known as Bio Documents capturing their children's fingerprints and photograph to share with law enforcement agencies in the event of an emergency such as a lost child case. The program also serves as an educational experience that helps families develop safety action plans can be used to teach children how to avoid unsafe situations.
