The 13th Annual Ponte Vedra Auto Show has a new host this year, as Nocatee welcomes the popular annual event to Nocatee Town Center Field.

To be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, the 2016 auto show will feature up to 175 new and classic cars competing for more than 30 trophies. Award categories include Classic, Post-War and categories for off-road vehicles and golf carts.

9/11 Tribute

As this year’s auto show falls on the 15th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack, the event will include a special tribute at 10 a.m. honoring first responders and those who lost their lives that day. Among the speakers will be St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Manager Bob Porter, who was near the Pentagon that day. St. Johns County Fire Chief Carl Schenk will also speak, as will SJC Chamber CEO Isabelle Rodriguez.

Judging of participating cars will occur from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with live entertainment provided from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by Red River. A variety of food trucks and information booths will also be on hand. The awards ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.

“This will be an exciting event showcasing some of the best in the history of the automotive industry,” said Garry Redig of Fields Auto Group, the event’s presenting sponsor. “We are looking forward to a great show.”

Automobile registration is $35 per vehicle for pre-registration and $50 per vehicle for day of registration. Pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, Sept. 9.
