Armed robber holds up Ponte Vedra Beach sub shop

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported armed robbery at a Ponte Vedra Beach sub shop Sunday.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 5 p.m. Feb. 12 at Larry’s Giant Subs at 830A1A North, where two employees reported that a male suspect entered the shop brandishing a handgun. The suspect demanded money, and an undisclosed amount of cash was given to the suspect, who then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin black male who was wearing a mask and armed with a handgun.
