A 12-year-old boy was medflighted to UF Health Shands Hospital Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Ponte Vedra Lakes Blvd., authorities said.
According to Florida Highway Department officials, the boy was not using a crosswalk to cross the street when he was hit by the Toyota Tacoma. The accident occurred at around 3:15 p.m. July 19. One lane on A1A North was closed due to the accident.
