Grayson Rigby, an 11-year-old author and conservationist from Ponte Vedra Beach, published "Expedition to the Galápagos Islands" following a family vacation there. Rigby was inspired by the endemic and unique animals and wrote daily in his journal about his observations and personal interactions.

Included in the book are face-to-face animal encounters from a child's perspective, full color photographs and illustrations of the islands' endemic animals in their natural environment. "Expedition to the Galapagos Islands" spotlights animals such as the endangered Galapagos giant tortoise, vulnerable marine iguana, flightless cormorant and more.

The 11-year-old is donating a portion of his book sales to the Galapagos Conservancy, a nonprofit group assisting in ongoing research, conservation management and education in the archipelago. "Expedition to the Galápagos Islands" is available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble stores.
