A funny cartoon! Unfortunately, what this president and his administration have done to this country and it's reputation is anything but funny. Better described as criminal.

It could indeed very well be that we have witnessed worst executive administration in American history. Worse than Hoover, worse than Garfield. For years and years I hoped that this man's stupidity was a ruse...that there was some great plan at work that would increase America's perceived and real worth. But my hope was in vain. Just like Georgie's daddy hired Dan Quail to keep the press off of his CIA/Plan-for-a-new-American-Century past. Cheney hired Shrub, and we fell for it again...our eyes not on our leadership, but on our shiny new SUV's and Fox- commentated war games in Iraq. It's true that if a government will only give people bread and circuses, it can pretty much do what it wants.

I'm surprised it took this long for an artist to create the image...

TIRESOME AND WITLESS CARTOON! DISRESPECTING OUR PRESIDENT IS NOT HUMOR AND I AM NOT AMUSED. I EXPECT MORE FROM OUR COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER THAN CHEAP SHOTS. SAD TO SEE THE PV RECORDER TURN TO TRASH.

Disrespecting our president is the most abundant source of humor we have right now. Never since I took office back in the late 18th century have I seen a public official so misguided, disconnected with reality, dangerous, criminal and ic than this one. I'm glad to see this newspaper pulls no punches in a staunchly republican community. Marybeth, it's sad to see people like you turn this community to trash with your conservatism and close mind.

Marybeth - The day any one of us as individuals or any newspaper or TV show can't "insult" a public official, is the day we all need to pack and move to some other, more enlightened country. With the president's approval rating below 30 percent, the PV Recorder is actually way late in recognizing the president's shortcomings. It's a conservative paper that has pandered to the right for too long. We may live in what is considered a conservative community, but I'm not convinced that all 26 percent of those who approve of Mr. Bush's policies live here. I'm equally convinced that even those staunch Bush supporters have a more jaded view at this stage of his administration. I'm a registered Republican and I have lots of friends who are Republilcan - and some friends, gasp, who are Democrats. We are disappointed in the president. I think Mr. Bush has insulted the American people with regard to so many issues - the Iraq war, for instance. Actually a better cartoon might have been to show the face of Charlie Crist, with a school perched atop his head, with parents peeking in. Nothing there, that's for sure.

I didn't say that Bush was worse than Carter...just worse than Hoover and Garfield.
